Philemon – A study in grace.

I wanted to put this commentary on Philemon in order and see if anyone will enjoy them.

My good friend and fellow worker in Jesus Christ Douglas Hamp, honored me by asking if I’d like to contribute to his ministry by adding some of my writings to his website. I considered his request as a great honor and responsibility and after prayer and reflection with my virtuous wife I decided to accept Doug’s offer.

The only consideration that remained was what to write? I considered using excerpts from my existing writings or commentaries, but I did not feel led to do such and after more prayer I decided to write a completely new commentary for these humble posts. I will employ the cultural, historical and geographic hermeneutic style to an exegesis of one Book or Epistle from the New Testament at a time; breaking each Book down into small, comprehensible and workable pieces for each post.
